Rates
The following rates are provided as a guideline only. For a precise quote, please contact the Project Manager. Translation Rates for translation are based on the number of words in the source text, unless otherwise agreed, and range from 0.15-0.20CAD/word. Additional charges may apply to faxed or scanned documents, and minimum charges apply to texts under 250 words. Writing, Research, Revision and Proofreading Writing, research and revision, and proofreading projects are billed on an hourly basis. Rates range from 30-40CAD/hour. A minimum charge of $50 applies to all projects. Website Translation Because web translation projects vary greatly in complexity, the rates for these projects will also vary. In general, writing, revision and graphic design/manipulation are billed on an hourly basis, while translation of website content is generally billed on a per word basis. An hourly rate will apply when the texts to be translated are in .html format rather than a word-processing format such as .doc or .rtf. An itemized quotation will be provided for each project before work is undertaken. Regular and rush rates A rush rate will apply when a project is expected to be completed outside regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST), on short notice (within 3 hours or less), or more quickly than regular turnaround times.
